8th February 2019, in Capetown, H.E. Amb. Barbara O.Nekesa, together with  Officials from the Uganda High Commission, met with Mrs. M.J. Thomas-Johnson, of Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  Mr. B. Wade,  Chief Entrepreneur Officer of Entrepreneur & Management Solutions, Mr. J. Porteous of Ivory Wealth and Mrs. S. McDonald of Shonaquip.

Ambassador Barbara Nekesa presented  a paper  " Investment, Trade and Tourism - a case for Uganda " to these selected companies  who showed interest in doing business in Uganda.

The companies were interested in knowing about the Tax regime, incentives and exemptions availed to foreign companies investing in Uganda, to which the High Commissioner gave a detailed explanation. She also took the group through the processes of registering a business in Uganda.

A USB containing Bankable Projects and Tax incentives in Uganda was availed to the group.

The Chamber pledged to assist the Mission in getting an audience of companies interested in doing business in Uganda for a follow-up briefing.
