On Saturday the 19th of October 2019, H.E Barbara Nekesa, the High Commissioner of Uganda to the Republic of Botswana resident in Pretoria joined a number of Ugandans who convened in Gaborone-Botswana at a football match between Zimbambwe and Uganda as way of commemorating the 57th Independence Anniversary of motherland Uganda.

The High Commissioner who was accompanied by Uganda’s Honorary consul in Botswana, Dr. Okello Wengi and the Minister counselor from Uganda High Commission-Pretoria, Mr. Jullius J. Kivuna, took the opportunity to share with Ugandans living in Botswana the progress that Uganda has made in the areas of Electricity generation, the road network coverage, fight against immunizable diseases, ICT infrastructural Construction, the curriculum review process in the education sector, industrialization and the need to embrace and take advantage of the National Identification process that has been brought closer to them.
