The Officials were led by Mr. Mutumba Eddiewren, the Programme Director of IBRC. They included officers from South African Police and Community leaders.
The IBRC team informed that they were a Non-Governmental Organisation campaigning for safer schools and promoting children and youth rights and survival in Uganda and South Africa.
Their mission, they said, is to prevent the on set of drug abuse, social crime and teenage pregnancies through comprehensive research, education and innovative early youth intervention programmes.
The High Commissioner appreciated the very useful work IBRC was carrying out both in Uganda and South Africa.
She pledged the Mission's cooperation in this noble endeavor which is geared towards saving our youth from drugs and crime. She urged IBRC to consider training the youth in appropriate skills to enable them earn a living , which, she said, would go a long way in keeping them from vice.
